Five Best: Better than the Original

Watching TV the other night, my father-in-law made the suggestion that I do a list of five movie remakes better than the originals. So, here it is, Craig. These are the five best remakes that were better than the originals. Mind you, this is not the five best remakes of all time. For example, The Magnificent Seven may be one of the best remakes ever, but its source material, Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai was still the better film. So here they are, in chronological order.

  1. Guess I agree with all but the last one...the Rat Pack is so unappreciated by you young folks...

  2. I'm not saying the original is a bad film. The remake it just better - if there's any argument, it should come for Cape Fear. The original was excellent, too.
