Five Best: Veterans Day

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="251" caption="New York State Military Museum in Saratoga Springs, NY"][/caption]

Thursday. November 11 is Veterans Day, celebrating those who fought in the wars to help keep our country free and safe. In honor of those heroes, let's take a look at the five best films about the major military activity of the past 100 years - World Wars I & II, the Vietnam War, the Korean War, and the Persian Gulf War. My apologies to veterans of the current wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, but not enough films have been made about them yet. Plus, I partially folded them in with the Persian Gulf War; not in memory - just in film collection. We'll list them in chronological order by war  - one per each of them.
